The current 4 Leg design costs roughly $1400 CDN in parts if you want to do it yourself. The assembly time/tools is where it gets expensive. ie. 3D printer ($600), small CNC for aluminum ($800), Aluminum chop saw ($300), hand drill ($100), misc hand tools ($1000? who knows, the little things add up fast).
I found all my parts on Amazon.ca and on Walmart.ca (sometimes cheaper). But the 8080 Aluminum Rail is difficult to find for a reasonable price. I ended up buying them from an old greenhouse that had been disassembled. The parts list will get added shortly.
I have made the design so that a quick change to the 3D printed motor mount will let you try just about any kind of motor.
I use https://www.simhubdash.com/ with the Motion license add-on to control the legs, but I think that any software that will control a standard SMC3 arduino setup will work fine.
Possibly, my kids need summer jobs, but I only want to sell to people nearby so I can easily help them with any issues they have, so South-Central Alberta is pretty much the only area I would want to sell to someone for now. I would be asking about $3500 CDN for a unit.
