Sensors
Sensors
The Sensors are 10K linear potentiometers with a 10cm travel that get mounted in a 3D printed frame and secured to the frame with hotglue. The frame locks inside the leg just under the motor cap, and is held in place by the cap. This makes them very easy to replace if they ever fail, but they are supposed to last over a million cycles. I have not needed to replace one yet.
Here is STL File for the sensor bracket. Print this with 100% infile in PETG or PLA+ for strength.
The sensor uses the following 3 Pin connector . BTF-LIGHTING 20 Pairs JST SM 3 Pin Connectors for WS2812B WS2811 WS2812 SK6812 LED Strip Light Female Male 15cm 22awg Wire
The top 3D print is the latest design, the lower on is the previous design. But both are wired the same.
RED - Power (must be extended to go to the end of the sensor)
White - Ground
Green - Signal
Note: Need a better picture showing the soldering step prior to the hot glue...
