Batwalk

Wednesday 18th September 2024, 19:00

The walk will start from Palmerston’s statue in the Market place in Romsey. We will meet at 7.00pm  and Nik Knight the Hampshire County Bat recorder will tell us a bit about bats before we walk down to the Memorial park and on to Sadlers Mill.

Nik will have a bat recorder so that the bats can be heard and identified and there will be some spare sets for participants to try out.

We will continue along the Causeway and back to the Market Place via Middlebridge street.

We will be setting off at dusk. The route is mostly unlit and the path surface is uneven in places so it will be advisable to bring a torch and wear stout shoes. It is expected to take about 2 hours.

If you would like to join us please contact Jennifer Adams me@jenniferadams.co.uk as numbers will be limited.
