Section 1. Introduction to the Psychology of Memory: Basic concepts in memory. Classical models. Methods in memory

research.

Section 2. Memory structures and representations: Sensory memory. Short-term memory. Working memory. Long-term memory

Section 3. Memory processes: Coding, retrieval and forgetting processes


Resources

Experimental workshops: PsyToolkit. This is an excellent resource for instructors teaching cognitive processes that want to introduce their students to experimental research. It allows to easily create experiments online and to use classical paradigms from their database.

Gamification activities: Breakout EDU. Escape-Room activities are useful to engage students and make them think out of the box. In this course, students will have E-R activities, and they will be able to create their games to challenge their peers and their knowledge on Memory through online and in-person riddles.

Movies: Movies related to memory processes will be used in class to create discussion
