Pakistan Nutrition and Dietetic Society (PNDS)
As the Vice President of the Pakistan Nutrition and Dietetic Society (PNDS), I have been actively involved in planning and executing two major conferences focused on critical issues in the field of nutrition and dietetics. These conferences addressed pressing issues related to non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and the triple burden of malnutrition. My involvement included collaborating with fellow PNDS members to define conference themes and objectives, conducting extensive research, and nurturing a partnership with The Nutrition Society United Kingdom and Ireland to attract a diverse group of medical practitioners and experts. Additionally, I led capacity-building efforts for young nutritionists through mentorship programs, workshops, and networking opportunities. Overall, my involvement as the Vice President of PNDS in these conferences has been instrumental in facilitating valuable discussions, knowledge exchange, and the professional development of young nutritionists, contributing to a stronger future in the field of nutrition and dietetics in Pakistan.
