What are Rocket Coins?

Rocket coins are the currency most commonly used in Rocket-Hideout! You can earn more coins by creating art pieces for the group, and earn bonuses by participating in events and missions! Once you have enough coins, you can head over to the Hideout Shop or Accessory Boutique to buy some cool new items!

How do I earn Rocket Coins

By simply drawing, and posting the piece to the appropriate Discord Channels! From there, a mod will look over your art, calculate how much you earned, and add your earned Rocket Coins into your slot in the bank!
Be aware, this is a deductible currency, so you don't earn things though a permanent milestone or achievements!

Below is a rough example of how you earn Rocket Coins as well as our Conversation Rate!

Sketches/WIPS/Bases

Sketch: + 5 Rocket Coins

Color on a sketch: + 6 Rocket Coins

Color on a pre-existing base: + 3 Rocket Coins

Finished Art

Lineart: + 8 Rocket Coins

Color: + 8 Rocket Coins 

Gray-scale Color: + 6 Rocket Coins

Shading: + 8 Rocket Coins

[For additional characters, multiply the final number by the amount of pokemon (X) in the drawing]

[Headshots and halfbodies will have their final amount halved]

[Small pixel icons will also have their final amount halved]

[Retired Background Characters have their final amount thirded]

Backgrounds

Simple/Half background: + 6 Rocket Coins

Full Background: + 12 Rocket Coins

[Backgrounds must be colored to be considered full. Sketches or otherwise low-colored backgrounds will be counted as simple or half.]

Other

Completed Meme: + 4 Rocket Coins

Edited Pixel Sprites: + 4 Rocket Coins

Simple Animation: + 4 Rocket Coins per unique frame 

Complex Animation: + 6 Rocket Coins per unique frame

Background Retired recruits earn 1/3 (a third) of the usual count. 

[Ex: A shaded fullbody usually earns 24 RC, a shaded fullbody of a BG Retiree would earn 8 instead!]

Writing & Roleplaying

Original Literature:

You'll earn 8 Rocket Coins for every 50 words in your literary submission

Please have your final word count listed in your description to make things easier! 

Roleplay Logs: 

You'll earn 6 Rocket Coins for every 50 words in your literary submission

Word counts must be listed for each participant to be counted! 

Rocket Coins will be rewarded separately to each participant depending on their own word count

Collabs

For any collaboration artworks between members, the final Rocket Coin count for the work will be split and divided equally among the participants

Adoptables

Drawing adoptables will not get you any Rocket Coins, but they may be submitted into the group if they provide a discount for members, or provide an incentive for new members to join Rocket-Hideout 

Commissions of Rocket-Hideout characters may be accepted into the channel gallery, but no Rocket Coins will be rewarded for them.

Okay, what can I get with my Rocket Coins once I have them?

Rocket coins can be used to purchase items at the Hideout Shop or the Accessory Boutique! Make sure to check them frequently, as we try to release new items!
