No. We are a non-clinical listening space. While we de-escalate crises, we do not deliver any therapeutic interventions.
When you come in for a session, we will ask for your preference for a semi-public or private space. Then, we will ask you some questions to assess if you need urgent support. After that, we will conduct the session following a person-centred approach, focusing on how you feel and what you want to get out of the session. Towards the end, we will signpost you to relevant resources if relevant.
Staff and volunteers have a variety of training, including NHS-provided e-learning modules and training sessions like Mental Health First Aid
Absolutely. Whilst we do not provide long-term support, any time that you are in self-defined crisis we can provide you with support and singposting
No. While we do not work with those under 18, we won't ignore you if you're in crisis. We will help signpost you to more appropriate support where you can receive proper care.
