The Barn sits in a plot approximately 45.5 by 19.5 metres or about 900 square metres including the footprint of the barn. Around the Barn is a gravelled area where you can sit in the sun or the shade as you require.
The front of the barn is south facing and the thick stone walls soak up the heat of the sun and radiate it in the evenings allow you to sit out and enjoy the evening air.
The rear garden is raised slightly but easily accessed by stepped dwarf stone walls set with plants and herbs and is surrounded by stone walls providing a peaceful and private area. Summer eating al fresco is a must and dining here is a daily experience. Being east facing the garden is sunny and warm for breakfast and has shaded parts for later in the day.
Electrical cabling has been run ready for lighting to be installed.
Also at the rear is the hanger measuring 9.5m by 8m open on two sides but providing covered parking and storage for materials and firewood.
On the far side of the hanger is a lockable storage shed for tools and garden equipment measuring about 1.5m by 6m.
To the front of the Barn is a parking area with space for a number of cars. A ramp down allows vehicular access to the hanger and shaded parking. The parking area is laid with a small calcaire, small enough to play boules on of an evening . Access from the road is through double gates, electrical cabling has been run for a power supply if you wish to install an automatic gate opening system and wall lighting. These pictures are taken in the early morning with shade from the cherry tree.
The rest of the garden area is mostly grassed with fruit trees and some vines. An early cherry tree provides enough juicy fruits for you and the birds. Some Reine Claude (Victoria) plum trees, a mirabelle and an apple tree also fruit freely.
The last part of the garden is the terrace measuring 5m by 9.5m. The original architect approved plans included a covered area on this terrace to create a summer kitchen with seating, bbq and pizza oven. A water supply pipe has been run in readiness and electrical cabling is run to the inside of the hanger in readiness to connect up to the summer kitchen.
