Challenge 1: Familiarize yourself with Scratch

  1. Pair up.

  2. Visit this presentation to access a document about Scratch and its different challenges.

  3. Access the Scratch website.

  4. Read slides 3 to 16 as you discover the Scratch tool.

Challenge 1

  • Create an account to save your projects.

  • Click on Create to open a Scratch project.

  • At the top, click on Tutorials.

  • Choose the Getting Started tutorial and click on the arrows to follow the steps.

  • Complete at least 2 other tutorials in the top row.

  • Show the results of your program to your workshop leader.

Challenge 3: Going Further With Scratch

In this presentation, you will find a step-by-step tutorial to create a project with a dialogue between characters, question and answer, and change the scene and music.

  • Prepare the instructions of a game and create it in Scratch.

  • Work on the narrative structure and code a story with audio and text.
