In our first year, we started with a Rev Robotics Kit and built the basic starter bot. At first, everything felt like a challenge—parts were either too tight or not tight enough, and more often than not, we spent half a meeting searching for a single piece. Many nights stretched late, until 9:30 or even 10:00 PM, and progress sometimes felt slow.
But through those struggles, we discovered the true heart of robotics: perseverance. Every mistake taught us something, and every obstacle pushed us to grow. That’s the journey of every rookie team—things may be tough, but that’s exactly how you learn.
When the road feels difficult, don’t give up. Keep pushing forward, keep problem-solving, and keep believing in your team. Every late night, every challenge, and every small victory brings you one step closer to becoming stronger builders, better teammates, and true innovators.
