The objective of this challenge is to create a uniquely-themed Useless Box by utilizing SolidWorks and additive manufacturing.Â
These components will also be soldered into a working circuit. Consider all safety protocols when working with a solder station.
Heat-set inserts (shown below) can be used along with their corresponding bolts. Make sure the printed material is properly designed for heat-set nuts. Also, refer to the available charts below for sizing.
The following components were constructed by me using a slide caliper to measure the real pieces by hand for near exact measurements in order to be as precise as possible in the SolidWorks design process. The components include the dc motor, the toggle switch, one of the battery cartridges, as well as the limit switch
