During my time at Leonardtown High School and the James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center, I have been focused on an end career in aerospace engineering, however I also have a passion for the business field. My love for engineering started at a young age due to my grandfather that was an engineer and would always let me help him on his "for fun" projects.
I am currently enrolled in my senior year of high school and hope to graduate with a certificate of excellence from the JFCTC Engineering program. After high school I plan to attend a four-year college and be in either the Marine or Air Force ROTC program. After college I will work to find a job that will fit my interests and benefit me in the long run. I aim to focus on mechanical engineering but also aviation for the military just like my father and grandfathers. My career interests are supported by the classes that I have take and programs I have joined. By graduation I will have completed AP Bio, AP Calculus, AP Lang, AP World history, AP Seminar as well as Honors/ Pre-AP courses such as Calculus, and Chemistry. A few programs I am a part of and plan to join eventually are National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Key Club, and S2S.
My commitment in sports and to helping my community play a pivotal role in my life and have helped build me to be the person I am today. Growing up I played almost every sport a kid could play but the only one I truly had a passion for was soccer. I have played soccer since I was 4 years old, and have played varsity every year of high school which has helped me become a leader and a more communicative person. I also play club travel soccer for a high level youth academy team based out of Annapolis.
In the free time that I do have, I love lifting, fishing, golfing, watching good movies, and spending time with friends and family. But above all, what has helped motivate me and build me into the person I am today is my growing relationship with Christ and the word of God. I initially decided to expand my horizon in early 2022, my best friend and brother was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia and had to spend 5 months in the hospital and undergo Chemotherapy treatments. In the hospital he stayed at, Johns Hopkins, there is a church. As we were walking around one day, we discovered it. I found a notebook full of prayers from a lot of the residents, as I was reading through the book I realized just how meaningful Christianity truly is. I decided to learn more and read the bible, truly the best decision I have ever made in my life. My connection with God has helped me become a more grateful, moral, respectful, and loving person.
