Teaching kids about sustainability in the environment is a new challenge for me, but it allows me to develop new skills and knowledge together with the kids. Through lessons and activities, engaged the students and encourage them to collaborate and work together. Teaching sustainability also helped students recognize global issues and make responsible decisions to protect the environment. We also teach them about the ethics of their choices and actions, showing them how their decisions can have consequences. By teaching them about important environmental topics like recycling, conservation, and renewable energy, we can help them understand their own strengths and discover areas where they can improve.

6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance
7: Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions
Participating in canal cleanup with TerraCycle was a truly rewarding experience for me and my friends. We dedicated time to clear the canal, utilizing boats and collaborating closely to make a positive impact. While it required effort, the process was surprisingly enjoyable, and we encountered some amusing moments along the way. We cleaned a total of 1.2 tons of trash as a team in just a couple hours and also sorted through the trash and different types of plastics. Working together as a team to clean the canal not only made the environment better but also strengthened our community as we shared the common goal of environmental protection and rescue.Â
