Academic Beneficeries

This research project will benefit academic communities, government/policymakers (i.e. The Ministry of Health, Province and District Health Agency and health workers) and most importantly people with COVID-19.

Four research centres will be involved in this research and all of them will benefit from this initiative: (1) Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Brawijaya (LPPM UB), (2) the University of Manchester UK, (3) Northumbria University UK, and (4) BPJS Research and Development Unit. This project will strengthen Indonesia-UK networks through improving human resources and institutional capacity through the following strategies.

For the government/policymakers, our findings will provide evidence-based information that can be used by district, provincial and national governments for strengthening the COVID-19 community mitigation management system in rural areas. For people with COVID-19, we expect the innovation will be able to improve healthcare services for people with COVID-19 especially most needed individuals (i.e., poor, older individuals and women in the villages).
