If we haven't met already, my name is Amberly Jayde and I am a NC licensed massage therapist (NC License #22453), Pilates instructor, and overall geek for health. Here's a little on my back story of how I ended up in the mountains of NC practicing massage and teaching Pilates.
Before I ever laid hands on a massage table, I was a chemist. I’ve always had an analytical mind and a deep curiosity about how things work—from molecules to muscles. But over time, I realized I craved more connection, more depth, and more meaning than I was finding in the lab.
In 2013, after completing my yoga teacher training, I left my full-time chemistry job and enrolled in massage school in Falls Church, Virginia. That decision opened the door to a completely new way of understanding the human body—through direct, hands-on connection. I started my massage practice in the D.C. metro area and began building a foundation in therapeutic work.
As life moved me across states with my husband’s military career, I continued to expand my skills, becoming a certified Pilates instructor and later specializing in neurological-focused movement, including NeuroPilates and Pilates for neurological conditions. I’ve always been drawn to what some might call the more “mysterious” or layered aspects of healing—the deep systems, subtle compensations, and hidden stress patterns that often go overlooked.
That curiosity turned personal during my pregnancy in Texas, when I developed intense hip dysfunction that took away my ability to walk and I felt utterly hopeless. I saw multiple practitioners, but nothing helped—until I was introduced to Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) by a physical therapist. It was the first approach that made sense of what was happening in my body and actually got to the root of the problem. It worked—when nothing else had.
That experience led me to train in NKT myself and begin layering in even more clinical and nervous-system-based techniques, including learning more about scar tissue massage, lymphatic drainage (certified June 2025), and other approaches grounded in functional anatomy and neurophysiology.
If you’re dealing with pain that doesn’t make sense, a nervous system stuck in high alert, or healing from injury or trauma—my work is designed to help your body unwind patterns, restore communication, and feel safe again. With a blend of science, movement, and intuitive bodywork, I aim to meet you at the intersection of curiosity and care.
