All about this project: For this project, we conducted research on an international location and then presented our findings. We evaluated the gathered information, collaborated using digital tools, and compared our research with our partners. I chose Italy as my location, my partner chose Aruba.
What was interesting?: As you can see in the slide above the population between Italy & Aruba was very different. Clearly Italy has a bigger population, however both had a higher populaiton of women than men. Both have beautiful beaches and are known tourist attractions. Italy is 1,674 times bigger than Aruba. I have never been to Italy, but my partner has been to Aruba, she went this year for her honeymoon.
Lessons learned: After comparing data with my partner, I initially thought Aruba would have a greater digital divide. However, upon further research and realization that Italy has a number of regions with no internet and users who are not tech-savvy, it is clear that Italy has a greater digital divide. However both countries have a digital divide, a big part is due to lack of resources and access.
