The William & Emeline W. Harris Home is a historic house located in Richmond. The house was constructed in 1896.
William McGee Harris was born on June 8, 1836 in Big Spring, Tennessee. When William was young, the Harris family converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They moved to Springville, Utah. In 1860, William and his brothers Alexander and Eli moved to Richmond. William married Emeline Whittle on Aug 20, 1861 in Richmond.
In his later years, William built this home in 1896. William and Emeline lived in the house until his death in 1903, and it was passed to his son, Aroet Lucius Harris, and his wife, Nancy Olive Kerr. After William's death, Emeline moved into an apartment built in the home of her daughter Emma Harris.
Aroet and Nancy sold the home to their nephew, Reed McGee Harris, and his wife, Donna Biggs. After Reed's death in 1994 and Donna's in 2003, the house was sold to Jerry and Doak Tuller. They sold the home to the current homeowners in 2015.
