EPISODE 1: All is fair, in love and war.
I chose to combine multiple stories and intersect the characters. I didn’t want to write different stories for each character so I made sure that they all somehow knew each other. In the actual “Real Housewives” show, all of the women are either best friends, siblings, or known enemies. This actually wasn't difficult at all since most of them are related to one another and a lot of the stories overlap as well. The major details have not changed, for example, who is married to who, Zeus' affair with Leto, and Hera kidnapping the goddess of childbirth for revenge. Persephone and Athena's closeness is fiction though. I added some fictional dialogue as well because it created drama. Persephone questioning Athena for turning Medusa into a monster obviously did not actually happen, but I do feel it's a valid question. Why was she more concerned about punishing Medusa and not the rapist? The dinner party is also fictional, but I thought it would be a great opportunity to show off Hera’s personality and how she reveals what she had done. I also thought it would be a good place to leave a cliff hanger for the next episode.
