Rifle Team

The JROTC Rifle Team is one of three after school teams offered by the Golden Eagle Battalion. Rifle team is a competition based team focused on rifle accuracy meeting on Mondays and Wednesdays after school from 3pm-5pm starting at the beginning of the Rifle Team season from mid to late October ending around April . During practices cadets train shooting in the three shooting positions being prone, kneeling, and standing using non-lethal air rifles loaded with a lead practice ammunition in preparation of Rifle competitions held between different local JROTC battalions. During Rifle competitions 5 cadets are chosen from each team competing to shoot, each cadet shoots all three positions and targets are either mailed in to be scored or scored at the end of the competition if it is held locally.

**The Rifle team is an extracurricular activity that focuses on Marksmanship. Rifles and ammunition is provided at no costs**.
