Raider Team

The JROTC Raider Team is one of three after school teams offered by the Golden Eagle Battalion. The Raiders team is split into two seasonal teams, being Competition Team and Adventure Team.

Competition Team takes place in the beginning of the school year focusing on physical training, endurance training, and competition training in preparation for Raider competitions hosted throughout the first half of the year between opposing battalions. During a Raider competition cadets will complete events such as rope bridge with teams having to build a stable rope bridge and cross it, obstacle courses consisting of climbing walls army crawling through various environments and rappelling towers, individual strength tests such as  push-ups, curl-ups, chin-ups, and more, along with many other varying events.

Adventure Team takes place in the latter half of the school year focusing on physical training, endurance training, and general survival skills such as camping, navigation, and leadership. Adventure team also plans days trips away from the Rhea County campus to complete hikes, explore caves, and other activities.
