AP Physics one covered Newtonian dynamics with algebraic equations. Topics covered were Kinematics, linear dynamics, linear work & energy, linear momentum and collisions, rotational kinematics, statics, rotational dynamics, rotational work & energy, rotational momentum, and simple harmonic motion. All of these were conducted without calculus, leaving a noticeable gap in the applications (for example, air resistance could not be calculated and was always deemed negligible). However, it provided a crucial conceptual understanding of the topics and allows for calculus to be integrated into the knowledge obtained.Â
