RGIT Australia’s ELICOS Department recently underwent an external professional development (PD) session on Effective Teaching and Lesson Planning. The facilitator was Mr Kalon Hibberd for our ELICOS teachers. At RGIT, we believe that quality education starts with quality educators and therefore the institute invested in its teaching and training staff to deliver effective, engaging, quality education to all the students. The session was arranged to assist our teaching staff to develop and increase their professional knowledge, competence, skill, and effectiveness. The goal of this session was to keep the participants updated on the current trends and also develop new skills that are needed in the advancement of the teaching field.
The program was unique and based on the topic of effective teaching and lesson planning. It helped the teaching staff on how to teach effectively that could have the right impact on the students and also how to plan the lessons that need to be taught. Today RGIT Australia is a leading vocational education and training college. RGIT Melbourne and RGIT Hobart offer a range of nationally recognised courses in the field of English, Information Technology, business and management, nursing, childcare and community services, hospitality.
