The Lauer’s Park Neighborhood Plan was created through a yearlong, community‑driven process that included neighborhood arts projects, porch‑party conversations, school activities, business walkshops, public events, and regular meetings with a coalition of more than a dozen local institutions. Through interviews, mapping, workshops, and multilingual engagement, residents and partners identified shared priorities and refined them through draft presentations and feedback sessions. The final plan sets twenty goals focused on improving parks, expanding youth arts and culture programs, strengthening local businesses and job pathways, increasing safety and cleanliness, improving transportation options, and ensuring stable, affordable housing. These goals aim to build long‑term neighborhood power by connecting residents to resources, improving public spaces, supporting renters and homeowners, and fostering economic and cultural vitality. Ultimately, the plan serves as a roadmap for coordinated action among residents, organizations, and the City to create a safer, healthier, more vibrant Lauer’s Park.
