TRANSPORTATION
Actions we are taking -
Bus students will be required to wear a mask/face covering during bus transportation. Students should enter the bus with a mask properly covering their nose and mouth. An RSU 39 employee will use an infrared thermometer to check all students and employees’ temperature before entering at designated entrance points at the school facility. If a student does not have a mask, one will be provided to them.
When bus students arrive at RSU 39 schools they will practice six feet of social distancing as they sanitize their hands before moving to their classroom. If desired, students will receive their breakfast to bring to their classroom for consumption.
BUS TRANSPORT
Bus transportation will be conducted in accordance with the current protocol for transporting students to RSU 39 schools. Students will be seated next to students coming to school from the same house, and will maintain safety protocol for the duration of the bus ride (i.e. mask wearing, maintaining distance).
Buses will arrive and release students at the main entrance, and the next bus will wait to pull up to the door to release students until all of the previous students have entered the building.
The main entrance will function as the entry/exit point from the building for students arriving by bus. Weather permitting, the entry/exit point will have the doors propped open during entry and exit, so as to facilitate contactless entry and exit to and from the building.
