Our RSU 39 Health Monitors will use an infrared thermometer to check all students and employees’
Students may stop at their locker prior to going to the cafeteria or Performing Arts Center, but are not to gather with other students in the hallway, near lockers, or outside of homerooms.
If students do not have a face covering or are not wearing one properly, they will be advised by the staff member on duty at that particular location. If they do not wear one properly at that point, they will be directed to the office and will meet with administration to address the situation.
At Caribou High School, staff will arrive at any available entrance, and will have a temperature check at any of the thermal screening stations. As long as staff do not have any symptoms of illness and have a temperature below 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, they will then proceed with movement throughout the building.
Parents should not enter the facility. Students should be escorted outside the building and “handed off” to a verified custodian.
At Caribou High School, non-bus riders will be dismissed following afternoon announcements. Approximately one minute later, bus riders will be dismissed when the 2:45 PM bell rings.
