RESEARCH PROJECT OVERVIEW
Research was conducted in the bioengineering lab to test the effectiveness of a testing device when a tourniquet was applied to it. Different weights, ranging from 40 – 180 pounds, were added to the ends of the tourniquet and were left in suspense using a pulley system. As the weight increased, both the internal pressure and the difference in initial and final pressure increased.
