EEZ Incursions

New Zealand's continental shelf EEZ is twenty times larger than its land area. The EEZ covers both mining (see Environmental Protection Authority) and Fishing. New Zealand asserts its sovereignty over this vast area through operations by the New Zealand Defence Force.
