Uniforms and outdoor clothing

New Zealand grows wool, trees and cattle. It has a few outdoor clothing companies which compete with huge international brands like Colorado. It also has CRI's like AgResearch.

The New Zealand Army has an on-going need for uniforms. Uniforms for every environment from Tokelau to the Ross ice shelf. Instead of making this a grudge process it should be an on-going development process. The military should be able to constantly develop its uniforms and sell its own brand as a marketing endorsement. "New Zealand Army" should mean the best outdoor clothing in the world: designed better; made better. It should be more comfortable; more practical; wear longer; and make it's wearer safer, whether from bullets or mosquitos dripping with Denge fever.

Not only will this make New Zealand troops better it will also generate value for the whole country.
