Capoeira in a nutshell

Capoeira is an afro-brazilian martial art that also includes acrobatic elements and music. Capoeira was first developed by African slaves in Brazil hundreds of years ago and has in past decades spread throughout the world. Capoeira is good exercise and a lot of fun at the same time, and anyone can start practicing, no matter what their age or physical condition is.

Our group "Respeite Capoeira" was created by Brazilian-born Mestre Gharronne in 2015. Until then, we trained under the name of Boa Vontade, a well-known group in Brazil. Most of the trainings in Tampere and Hämeenlinna are held by Noora-Liina Ora (Professora 1° grau   Matraca), who has been practicing capoeira for 15 years.

Trainings are held in Lampipuisto in Nekala.

Mondays and Wednesday at 17.30-19.00
