Johny Santana de Araújo, PhD, Professor at the Federal University of Piauí, Brazil. Framework of your participation in the project in light of your experience in managing research projects in the area of Military History. He collaborates with and is an associate researcher at the History Center of the University of Lisbon and the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Military History in Rio de Janeiro. His presence in the project guarantees access to a very important collection of Portuguese pieces held by the Brazilian State, as well as an added value for access to the Brazilian scientific community linked to the protection of heritage. Its perspective outside of national society, but with a strong cultural connection, represents a critical observation that is very important for the success of the exploratory work and for the design of the main project that will follow.

Captain PRT-Navy (RET) PhD Augusto Salgado is the Director of the Portuguese Maritime Museum. He is an Associate Professor (invited) at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon and coordinator of the Military History Research Group and the History and Archeology of the Conflict Project at the same centre. Between 2010 and 2021, he was a professor at the Naval Academy and the Institute of Higher Military Studies. And is a member of the Academia de Marinha, of the Portuguese Military History Commission and the Brazil Institute of Geography and Military History.

Brazilian Army Colonel (RET) Doctor Carlos Daroz is the Director of the Portuguese Military History Commission and the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Military History. Lecturer on the postgraduate course in Military History at the University of Southern Santa Catarina He is a (guest) researcher at the Military History Research Group, at the History Center of the Faculty of Arts. PhD student in Social History at Universidade Federal Fluminense in co-tutelship with Université Libre de Bruxelles, with an emphasis on the study of the First World War. He is a specialist in Military History from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Member of the Hermes Network: International researchers of borders, integration and conflicts, affiliated to the Conflict Research Center, military employment material and military history. Member of the Observatório do Tempo Presente research laboratory, at Universidade Federal Fluminense.
