Contributions to the generation of new ideas, tools, methodologies or knowledge

He has consistently followed a line of investigation, characterized as history of science, in the field of military history. The originality of the research carried out is based on the study of causes and effects from a macro historical perspective, in which the aim is to highlight the catalytic power of science in tactical and strategic decisions. Added to this is the use of mathematics, physics and chemistry, in the analysis of mechanisms and technologies used in the past, whenever it is decided to test concepts or materials.

The studies have contributed to the knowledge and interpretation of collections in the museums in which he collaborates as a consultant, in the mounting of exhibitions and in the holding of thematic seminars, but also to enhance academic curricula.

It will be important to highlight the international connections, especially with Spain, Italy and Brazil, collaboration with university departments, respectively the University of Seville, University of Genoa and Federal University of Piauí and the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro, in the development of academic networks for sharing knowledge and research work as a team.
