Testimonials:
Mary asked all the right questions to facilitate my reflection on our family dynamics, routines, strengths, and challenges. She helped me identify so many strengths to call on when trying to determine the best approach to challenges as they arise. She helped me recognize all the things I am doing right and helped me realize how ready my son was for taking on more responsibility for the decisions in his day-to-day life. This has helped our relationship in so many ways – he feels more confident, and the power struggles are a thing of the past. (Wendy Cunningham/VT)
It made a tremendous difference to have a partner/coach to help with our family challenges. As a single parent having someone to walk/talk things through with was necessary to grow and move towards our goals. The coaching I received allowed me to set and reach achievable goals in several areas of our family life and it was incredible to see the progress and manifestation of them. I couldn’t be more satisfied! (Gabrielle H/VT)
It was incredibly helpful to work with you to identify my values & vision. Working with you helped me identify what works best with my daughter as we make changes. I really appreciated having your support & encouragement. It was energizing to focus on the strengths we have as a family & build on those. I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Mary. Her accepting & positive approach helped me to focus on what is most important for our family. Through our work together, I was able to develop skills to appreciate what is going well & to take steps to reach my parenting goals. With her help, I feel better prepared to navigate future challenges.

Working with Mary was a blessing! She gently guided me by asking questions and was always empowering and lifting my children and me up. The encouragement to firmly identify and state our family values has been incredibly beneficial. They have brought clarity when making decisions with and for my family. Focusing on the strengths of my children and what I hope to encourage for them in their futures has also aided me in making decisions in certain situations with them. Mary helped me to learn about myself and my parenting style, allowing me to appreciate my strengths and bring awareness to my challenges. I am so grateful for her kind support and our time together and the benefits it has yielded for our family! (D. Wilcox/VT)
Probably the most significant impact I felt as a result of our meetings came about with a very huge insight, "A little change can make a HUGE difference." I heard that many times, but didn't appreciate it until I actually experienced it. It was also helpful to have an objective third party evaluate the situations I presented as wanting to change or improve, bounce ideas back and forth and come up with multiple suggestions for growth and improvement. This is especially true when the other person is as skilled and empathetic as my coach! Being a parent as well as a seasoned teacher brings a phenomenal skillset and wealth of experience to the process. I hope this parent/life coaching trend continues to gain momentum and normalizes the process so people are not hesitant or embarrassed to seek advice to improve their parenting skills. I think that "little" change in how we execute our role as a parent will have a HUGE impact on the next generation and humanity as a whole. (M. Fitzpatrick/ FL)
It was incredibly helpful to have a parenting coach meet with us for several reasons. The fact that you are both a parent and educator with many years of experience with both, made it feel like your fluency in helping kiddos provided a wealth of knowledge for us to tap into. I also felt like meeting with a parenting coach is exactly how I learn best. I have an athlete’s brain, and I thrive on getting new information, feedback, reflection, new tasks/suggestions, etc. We have noticed shifts already, and feel like the skills we learned to develop or amplify are helping our family.
