My story
Before I was a coach, I was a full-time elementary school teacher — and a full-time mom to twin boys. My husband's career as an airline pilot meant long stretches where the day-to-day of parenting, homework, meltdowns, and everything in between landed on me. I know what it's like to be stretched thin and still show up every single day wanting to get it right.
Years in the classroom taught me how children think, learn, and grow. Years at home taught me that even with all that training, parenting is still hard — and that the "just be more patient" advice out there rarely helps in the moment it's needed most.
That's what led me to specialize in positive discipline. I went on to become a graduate of the Parent Coaching Institute and a certified Positive Parenting Educator, and I hold a Master's degree in Education. But honestly, the credential that matters most to me is the one I earned raising my own boys — because I know this work from both sides of the table.
