Title: Decoding Development, Regeneration, and Disease with Precision and Model Systems
In our lab, our primary interest lies in unravelling the molecular mechanisms that govern the processes of development and physiological organ regeneration, with a particular emphasis on the liver and brain. This exploration spans a wide spectrum, ranging from microscopic cellular interactions to transformation of tissues on a larger scale. By employing diverse models, notably the zebrafish, we are actively deciphering the complex processes that underlie these phenomena, shedding light on how they work and their implications for understanding human growth and development. Importantly, our research also extends to investigate their relevance in the context of prevalent diseases such as Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) and cancer.
