Our lab actively pursues funding to support research at the interface of development, regeneration, and cancer biology, with an emphasis on translational and mechanistic insights. These grants enable us to explore fundamental questions in neuro-regeneration, tissue repair, metabolism, and nanoparticle-mediated therapies, while training the next generation of scientists.
Focus Areas of Funded Research
Brain Regeneration & Neurological Diseases: Studying neural repair and recovery after injury, and exploring molecular pathways relevant to neurodegenerative and cognitive disorders.
Cancer Biology: Investigating tumor biology and nanoparticle-based therapeutic strategies with translational potential.
Liver Biology & Metabolic Disease: Understanding Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), tissue repair, and liver regeneration using zebrafish and translational models.
Advanced Technologies: Leveraging imaging, transcriptomics, xenografts, and functional analyses to study regeneration, disease mechanisms, and therapy response.
Impact
Our work bridges fundamental biology with translational applications in regenerative medicine, oncology, neurological disorders, and metabolic disease.
