Thanks to generous secured grants associated with the project, there is no tuition fee required for the workshop; accommodation and dining are included.
Participants will receive a fixed stipend to assist with travel costs, and are expected to cover any additional costs on their own (e.g., fees for visa applications). If needed, participants are encouraged to seek grants and funding opportunities from their institutions to cover any additional travel expenses. We can provide a letter of invitation for such funding applications upon request.
Participants are also expected to bring their own personal equipment.
This initiative is funded by a Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Connections Grant, a Schlindwein Family Tel Aviv University–Notre Dame Collaboration Grant with supporting donations from The University of Notre Dame (Department of Film, Television, and Theatre), Tel Aviv University, (The Steve Tisch School of Film and Television), The University of British Columbia (Dept. Asian Studies), and The University of Massachusetts Amherst (Interdepartmental Program of Film Studies).
Facilities at Notre Dame and associated labor for the in-person workshop are subsidized by the above partnerships. Without this generous funding, this initiative would not be possible.
None of the above funds are used to supplement salaries, honoraria, or any other profit-based expenses.
