The REFORMA del Valle Central chapter was established to promote the growth and improvement of library and information services to the Latino and Spanish speaking communities in California's Central Valley. Our tagline, "Libros y Communidad" represents our focus on serving our communities alongside other organizations, artists, library workers, activists, poets, writers, students, and teachers. We aim to be a resource of information and cultural affirmation to our underserved populations and all diverse communities in the Central Valley.
The goals of the REFORMA del Valle Central include:
Putting books in the hands of all in our community
Promoting and increasing the use of libraries and library services
Developing Spanish-Language and Latino-oriented library collections
Advocating on behalf of the information needs of Spanish speakers and Latino community
