Below you can find the link to the HTML file for the format of the 2019 updated Oral iTest.
You cannot record on it , you can only watch and listen to the questions and watch the clip with questions. We encourage you to watch the exam with your staff together at your next meeting.
The exam, itself, has also been uploaded to the iTest system and can be downloaded to your school's computers. There are two versions.
If there are teachers in your school who did NOT teach 12th grade last year and did NOT experience the iTest, BEFORE they introduce it to their students ---- take your staff into the computer room with earphones and have them try the exam themselves to feel what they need to prepare their students for.
- The exam is meant to take 30 minutes.
- There are two interview questions: your students will listen to both and choose ONE to answer. (If they answer both, the first one will be graded)
- They will be asked a number of questions about their project, all of which they are expected to answer within between 1-2 minutes.
- There are Clip Interaction questions.
- The questions will be written on the screen as well as spoken in the questions. Some (where possible) may have graphic representations.
- Projects will not be allowed into the exam room.
DO NOT rush into the computer room with your students!!!!!!!
Let them practice and be proficient at answering the questions and presenting their projects IN CLASS. Once they are proficient at this, take them into the computer room to practice with the iTest and earphones (we recommend about 2 weeks or so before the Matkontet). You may show them the html file in class so they see what it is all about, as well as the Alfie intro, below. Let them be proficient in the content before taking them into the computer room to try.
When you try it out with your staff OR when you have your students do the Model Exam :
If you have ANY technical problems with the Oral iTest, please do not try and solve them yourselves or call the next day. Have your tech person immediately call Matach support and have them speak while you are all still in the room at the computers. In order for Matach to be totally prepared for the Matkonet and Bagrut, they MUST hear from us NOW and not later
