The change in the Oral Bagrut exam is revolutionizing the way our students are assessed. This is a welcome solution to the many scheduling issues that have arisen in the past while standardizing the administration and assessment of the exam. At the same time, there may be some elements which may concern you. We have put some of these ideas in print, and hope this site gives you an idea of how to present this change to your staff and students.
- Personal Response to Prompt - this part will have 2-3 separate questions
- Clip Interaction - Watch a short clip and answer two to three questions while watching
- Project Presentation and Interaction - 1-2 questions about the process of doing the project. At least 1 minute.
There will be 1 sample exam, 2 Matkonot and 2 Bagrut moeds for this year (2 days for each moed).
Semlei Sheilon (questionnaire numbers) for the 4 and 5 pts יח"ל – 16587
Besides the exam being on computer and not face-to-face, the only other difference is the second part of the exam - watching a clip and answering questions about it.
For this section and to help you help your students practice for it, we have created a bank of clips with questions you can let your students use. (See Practice Clips section of this site)
In addition, Adele has created a tutorial for using the app “Edpuzzle” to teach you how to create more. Both you and your students can create them for each other. You do not have to create them alone.
Your students will get it within seconds. It really is easy, and not just for Adele :)
We are taking care of everything in order to support you.
Trust us, as we trust you and your students to make this venture a smashing success!
The oral test in general is worth 20% of all of the final module test grades, calculated together. (70% test+ 30% magen), which means: if they receive a 100, they get about 14 points added to their final grade.
If they receive an 80, they get 16 points added to their final grade.
If they receive a 50, they still get 10 points added to their final grade.
Let's not make this one grade out of four more important than it really is.
The most important thing is that they are speaking and practicing.....
and the iTest offers them new opportunities to do that.
