At Mountain View POA's & Stable Inn, we believe every rider deserves quality instruction in a safe, encouraging, and enjoyable environment. Our lesson programs are designed for riders of all ages and experience levels—from first-time riders discovering horses for the very first time to experienced equestrians looking to refine their skills.

Each lesson is personalized to meet the individual goals of the rider, ensuring steady progress while building confidence, horsemanship, and a true partnership with the horse. Whether your goal is recreational riding, preparing for the show ring, improving your communication with your own horse, or simply spending time with these incredible animals, our instructors are committed to helping you succeed.

Our lesson horses are carefully selected for their temperament, training, and reliability, allowing riders to learn in a positive and supportive atmosphere. We focus on developing well-rounded horsemen and horsewomen through proper riding techniques, horse care, safety, and respect for our equine partners.

We offer flexible lesson options, including single lessons, monthly lesson programs, evaluations, and specialty instruction to accommodate riders at every stage of their equestrian journey.

🐴 Drop-In Lessons

Lesson Length: 1 Hour
Ideal for riders of all ages and experience levels. Learn horsemanship, riding fundamentals, balance, confidence, and safe horse handling in a fun and supportive environment.

📋 Student Evaluation

Lesson Length: 1.5 Hours
A comprehensive assessment for new students. We evaluate riding ability, horsemanship skills, confidence, and goals to determine the best placement and create a personalized learning plan for continued success.

🏆 Academy Packages

Lesson Length: 1.5 Hours (Teens & Adults)
Designed for riders committed to advancing their skills. Extended lessons provide more individualized instruction, additional saddle time, horsemanship education, and steady progression while building confidence and a stronger partnership with the horse.

All lessons include the use of one of our carefully trained lesson horses unless otherwise noted. Riders are encouraged to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. ASTM/SEI-approved helmets are provided or riders may bring their own.

Drop In Lesson

A fun, personalized 1-hour riding lesson for riders of all ages and experience levels. Build confidence, improve riding skills, and enjoy quality time in the saddle with one of our lesson horses.

Student Evaluation

A personalized 1.5 hour evaluation lesson designed to assess the rider’s current skills, experience, confidence, and goals. We’ll identify strengths and areas for growth to help determine the best lesson plan and horse-and-rider match moving forward.

Academy Students

Designed for dedicated students who want consistent instruction and continued progress. Academy packages provide regularly scheduled 1.5-hour lessons focused on building riding skills, confidence, horsemanship, and a stronger horse-and-rider partnership.

Choose from Monthly, 3-Month, 6-Month, or 12-Month packages. Academy students purchase their lesson package in advance and then use the Academy booking calendar to schedule their individual lessons.
