Funding for Coach training

As an ambitious and innovative club, we want to support people to become coaches to help us, our members, and the local badminton community.

If you are interested in becoming a Level 1 or Level 2 coach, we will, in exchange for delivering 10 hours of coaching after you have qualified, pay 50% towards your training. 

Whether you want to work in either our junior or senior sections, or both, alongside experienced coaches, you can start to develop a new appreciation for your hobby, and develop teaching and leadership skills

Coaching can help build your confidence on court as a player, and even turn into a valuable additional income stream!

Why are we doing this?

In building the club, we started using coaches to support and develop player skills, but existing established coaches are often committed for long-term bookings, either to specific clubs and evenings, or to locations which aren't local.  

Coaching hourly fees vary too, from £10-£50 per hour - which makes coaching expensive for individuals outside county programmes, and impractical for clubs and groups who are trying to access coaches for the first time.  

Coaching courses cost £250-£450, not cheap, and often the route to becoming established might take years. 

Let's work together and help solve these challenges. In exchange, you build up a little experience, feedback from students, and get rid of any nerves you might have.

Rules:

• You must contact us before you book your coaching training, with a little information about yourself and what you hope to do with your coaching.

• You should live within an hour's travel of Redhill, Surrey

• You must not currently earn any income from coaching Badminton.

• You don't have to make a long term commitment to R&RBC beyond 10 hours
