At Redemption Oilfield Services, sustainability is at the heart of what we do. Based in West Texas, we know the oil and gas industry has both immense potential and immense responsibility. Our mission is simple: to reduce waste, conserve resources, and create long-term value for operators and communities by transforming challenges into opportunities for renewal.
Across the Permian Basin, miles of decommissioned poly pipe are left behind after wells are plugged or flowlines are replaced. Historically, much of this material ended up in landfills or was abandoned in fields—wasting valuable resources and leaving a lasting environmental impact.
At Redemption, we see it differently. Since 2021, our poly pipe recycling division has already:
Recycled more than 21 million pounds of retired poly pipe.
Diverted thousands of cubic yards of industrial plastic from local landfills.
Created recycled plastic feedstock that manufacturers use to produce new, high-quality products—turning oilfield waste into raw material for the circular economy.
In 2025, we expanded this mission with the launch of the region’s first poly pipe shredding facility, located right here in Midland. This state-of-the-art operation allows us to:
Process poly pipe at an unprecedented scale.
Improve consistency and quality of recycled feedstock.
Open new markets for recycled plastic, from construction to infrastructure products.
Help operators reduce disposal costs while meeting corporate sustainability and ESG goals.
This isn’t just recycling—it’s closing the loop between energy production and environmental responsibility.
We actively optimize our operations to minimize emissions and resource use, including:
Natural lighting – Operating in daylight to reduce energy consumption.
Wood reuse – Repurposing wood from oilfield locations into pipe stands instead of discarding it.
Efficient logistics – Maximizing truckload capacity to reduce the number of trips, lowering fuel usage and carbon emissions.
Together with our recycling efforts, these measures significantly shrink the environmental footprint of oilfield operations in West Texas.
Our facilities are designed with resource conservation in mind:
Zero water usage – Our operations consume no water and produce no wastewater.
Plastic diversion – Every pound of poly pipe we recycle is one less pound sent to local landfills.
Sustainable feedstock supply – By converting old pipe into reusable material, we keep valuable plastics circulating in the economy instead of being buried as waste.
