Recycling Requirements for High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Pipe
To ensure a smooth recycling process and adherence to safety and environmental standards, we have established the following requirements for HDPE pipe recycling:
Acceptable Pipe Specifications:
Size and Diameter: We accept HDPE pipes of all sizes and diameters, catering to a diverse range of industry needs.
Pre-Delivery Pipe Condition:
No Fluids or Solids: Pipes must be completely free of any fluids or solids. It is essential that the pipes do not contain any large residual materials that could contaminate the recycling process.
Flushing Requirement: All pipes must be thoroughly flushed and cleaned prior to drop-off. This step is crucial to remove any potential contaminants.
NORM Regulations: Pipes must comply with legal limits for Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORM). We strictly prohibit pipes that exceed these safety thresholds.
Exclusions: We do not accept pipes that contain paraffin, fiberglass, metal casing (such as poly flex), or any other type of solids. Pipes must also be free of chemicals or hazardous materials.
Trash Prohibition: No forms of trash or non-recyclable materials are accepted with the HDPE pipes.
Vendor Delivery Information:
Required Documentation: Vendors must provide the following information upon delivery for proper disposal documentation:
Location Name: The specific name of the location where the pipe was used.
Generator Name: The name of the entity that generated the waste pipe.
Hauling Company Name: The name of the company responsible for transporting the pipe to our facility.
By adhering to these guidelines, we can ensure that the recycling process is efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible. Redemption Oilfield Services is proud to offer this service in the Permian Basin and contribute to the sustainability goals of the oil and gas industry.
