• 如有即時危險，下雨、有人、有車、貓、狗、老鼠、肉食鳥、幼鳥有傷口等等。才考慮帶走他。

• 7天之內都是找親鳥的黃金時期，親鳥一定還在附近尋找幼鳥。
  

1. 先確定鳥不親人、不是很弱弱不精神的烏

2. 幼烏可以飛到1米以上,活潑,有力跟得到親鳥

3. 先格著盒子/籠子,觀察

4. 等待,慢慢確定是不是親鳥,因過程中會有好多路過的鳥

5. 多做拍翼訓練

會阻礙尋找親鳥的機會

• X 不能摸/用手抱太多幼鳥

• Only take it with you if it is at risk, such as under adverse weather or there are people, vehicles, cats, dogs, mice, predatory birds nearby or when the fledgling is injured.

• Its parents will be looking for it nearby and 7-day is the golden period of reunion.
  

1. First, make sure the fledgling is not attached to human or in poor health

2. The fledgling can fly above 1 metre, is vivacious and able to catch up with its parents

3. Keep the fledgling in a box/cage and observe

4. There may be many onlooking birds. Wait and see if the birds in sight are its parents.

5. Let the fledgling practise flapping its wings （LINK）

• Refrain from committing the following mistakes that would prejudice reunion with parents

• Too much interaction

• Maintaining eye contact

• Stroking/cuddling the fledgling
  
  

Does the baby bird really need your help?

1. Keep a distance and observe: Observe carefully and figure out if the baby bird needs your help

Don’t pick it up hurriedly! Most probably it is learning to fly, and its parents are nearby and will return within half an hour.
Don’t intervene and kidnap it if it is under the care of its parents.

2. Take it home only under adverse condition. Try to locate the nest and return it to its parents by gently putting it inside after one or two days.

3. If the nest cannot be located, place it in a safe and shaded location, such as a twig. Its parents will be able to locate it by its chirps.

*If the baby bird is injured (bleeding or wounded) or its parents have not returned after a long time, seek help from Kadoorie Farm & Botanic Garden or hand it to persons with experience and knowledge for proper care.
