無毛雛鳥/病弱鳥因消化系統尚未完整或有問題，
可能無法消化狗貓飼料或蛋黃，不要油份太高的食物！
可先用果汁/果泥應急餵食。
The digestive system of hatchling / weak bird has not been developed fully / has problem, it may not be able to digest dog’s or cat’s feed or egg yolk. Don’t feed it any oily food. You may feed it juice / fruit puree provisionally.
*因蛋黃脂質高鳥可能會消化不良
*The high fat content of egg yolk may cause indigestion.

餵食方式：
Way to feed it:

幼鳥吞嚥力暫時不是很不好，餵食時必需小口小口餵，
每一口建議0.1CC左右。可以餵到牠不索食為止。
Baby bird cannot swallow well and it must be fed on small mouthful. The recommended amount per mouthful is 0.1cc. Feed it until it does not hunger for food.


  • 自行張嘴討食
    可使用餵食器、水彩筆或其他工具餵食，切記勿快並小口餵食。

  • bird gaping for food

Feed it with feeding instrument, brush or other implement. Take it slowly and feed it on small mouthful.

  • 小鳥拒絕張嘴
    -     若遇此情況先別急著灌食，應先檢查幼鳥是否有外傷或生病之虞
    - 觀察其精神狀態，許多幼鳥會因尚未習慣被人餵食而緊張閉口，可先    多對望、多講話，這樣可安撫鳥的不安情緒，先讓他慢慢習慣

  • bird which refuses to open the beak
    Don’t rush to force feed it. Check if it is injured or sick first. Check its condition. Many baby birds close their beaks as they are not used to being fed by humans. Pacify the birds by looking at it and talking to it.


餵食方法
Feeding method
先用棉花棒或手沾水、果泥、飼料泥讓他先嚐到食物的味道，
幾次後就會主動開口，但這段時間進食量少，可以10-15分鐘餵一次。若幾次後仍不開口，可使用餵食器由嘴角輕輕將幼鳥的嘴巴打開餵食
Let it taste the food with a cotton swab or finger dipped with fruit puree or feed paste and it will open its beak afterwards. It can only be fed on small mouthful. Feed it every 10 to 15 minutes. If it still does not gap for food, gently open its beak with a feeding instrument and feed it.




每隻幼鳥能適應的餵食方式及反應都不盡相同，
需細心觀察幼鳥餵食前後的反應，
若有脹氣、拉肚子、吞嚥困難、張口喘氣....等，
應暫時停止餵食且即刻就醫
The ways of feeding baby birds vary and they react differently. We should note their response after being fed. If they bloat, have diarrhea, swallowing difficulty or gasp for air, etc., stop feeding them and seek help from a vet immediately.

餵食後幼鳥會排出大便，一入一出
幫助排便方法：
- 保暖溫度提高
- 餵食濕料隔水加熱至約40度餵食或給予少許溫水
- 按摩腹部
- 用棉花棒沾溫水按摩肛門刺激排便

Baby bird will excrete after each feeding

  • Ways to help excretion:

  • maintain a higher body temperature

  • heat the feed paste to around 40 degree Celsius before feeding it or let it drink some warm water

  • massage its belly

  • massage its anus with a cotton swab moistened with warm water
