Evolution
According to sources the red panda A was first documented in 1825, however you can trace their common ancestor all the way back to the Tertiary period. They are more commonly related with racoons and weasels despite their name. There small size and racoon like looks/shape shows their relation to the racoon. Also, despite how cute they look they are in fact carnivorous and are known to be aggressive. The major difference between the red panda and the giant panda would most obviously be there size. Even though red pandas are not closely related to other panda species they still share a common prehistoric ancestor.
