HOW TO MAKE A BUILDING WITH A RECYCLED BOX
Take a box you like.
Younger kids can take the smaller flatter white box that can be attached to the styrofoam frame.
Older kids can take the larger boxes and work in pairs.
Take coloured paper to cut windows for the building. Tip: Fold the paper first and cut following the fold lines.
Glue the windows to make the building.
Use your acrylic markers to draw in curtains, blinds, people, window details etc.
Option to use other cardboard to add a roof or other design features.
HOW TO MAKE A PLASTIC FLOWER (Kids 7-12)
Take a plastic bottle.
Mark the petals by following the lines at the bottom of the bottle.
Cut the petals out. Option to draw the petals before cutting.
Use acrylic markers to colour or add patterns to make the flower unique and pretty!
Watch this video and use the template to make the plastic flower with the top part of the bottle:
HOW TO MAKE TREES (Kids 3-6)
Take a toilet roll or paper towel roll.
Cut tabs to flange the base of the roll.
Cut the leaves from the template or with the snowflake-making method.
Supervise the kids as they use the scissors.
Glue leaves to the tree trunk (roll).
SET UP THE CITY BUILDINGS AND FLOWERS ON THE TRACK
Place the large buildings around the track.
Put the flat white box buildings on the styrofoam with Blu-Tack.
Put the plastic flowers on the styrofoam with Blu-Tack.
Option to add flower details to the track dividers.
Mini-RC CARS and TRACK PLAY GUIDE:
Plug the car to charge if no one is playing with it.
Turn on a car and a remote one set at a time for it to pair. \
The track path can be re-arranged. Let the kids test-drive and adjust.
Make a ramp with the pink cardstock to connect the two sections with the kids if there's interest.
