Project Steps

Jan 26 - Lesson 1: 

Introduce project with Dyson vid. 

Artist inspiration. 

Introduce materials provided. Show examples of how to create structures/obstacles/paths. 

Discuss how to decide on a theme. 

Homework: Plan the theme, marble path and obstacles. 

Feb 2 - Lesson 2: 

Draw and paint the base. 

Plan and make the barricades, tunnels, barriers, path.

Paint the obstacles made according to the design theme. 

Feb 9 - Lesson 3: 

Continue making the barricades, tunnels, barriers.

Paint the obstacles made according to the design theme. 

Feb 23 - Lesson 4: 

Uhu glue the parts down to make the marble run. 

Option to use glue gun under supervision if needed. 

March 9 - Lesson 5: 

Test the marble run. Check if marble runs can be connected with other projects. 

Presentation / Portfolio: 

Photograph and video completed marble runs with iPad. 

Completed marble runs can be put on display for play during recess? 

Option to try to connect the marble runs as boxes have 2 existing holes.
