As I start the Can’t Stop The Feeling, the TV glows white and a ball comes out. Sara picks up the ball and gets transported into the game by Wanderlust. I obey the phone’s instructions and pay attention. The coaches in the background, alongside being from other routines like Last Friday Night, are my friends and fellow dancers that got kidnapped. Each one of them turns into a black-ish purple throughout the respective parts of the song before donning a light pink mask that covers their now non-existent faces. As the song plays out, the vocals are different. It seems like a song about a tiger and the wilderness, but one I never heard before.
I complete the routine then play If You Wanna Party. The song’s not any different this time. Midway through the routine however, the TV glows again and I get greeted by the same voice as on the phone.
“Hey, come on in, Michou!” the voice says.
I enter the TV and I recognize the song immediately. “Hey, this is my song!” But the instrumental is slightly off. I can't put a finger on why.
As I perform an improv choreo, I get more into the groove and realize how Sara was able to easily preform those moves in Can’t Stop The Feeling despite not being a dancer.
Afterwards, I see that Sara and Wanderlust calls out to me through the portal.
“The portal took you out at the wrong location!" Sara shouts. "Come over here!"
"No, this is where I intended for him to go, just in case. Welcome to your alternate home in Dancity, Michou!” Wanderlust says.
“Hey, you’re the voice on the phone! So it was true that they got kidnapped in the game!” I responded.
“Why else would we want to recruit you to join us in taking down Night Swan’s army?” Sara asks.
“So who will we see today? I want to meet some coaches and see their sides.” I ask energetically.
“Hey, look who’s now hyped up! Weren’t you annoyed to work with us before?” Sara questions.
“I was starting to get tired from dancing. But when I came in, I felt a burst of energy.”
“Wait a sec, gotta prepare back here. I sense something's wrong..." Wanderlust pauses the conversation as he checks something.
"I better check what it is. Jack, cover my spot for a little bit." Sara quickly rushes back to Wanderlust.
"What is it that made us pause that conversation?" I ask the person who led me to beating Night Swan.
"Night Swan's been spotted. But the spotting doesn't have a location set." Wanderlust informs me about the situation as he prepares to find out more.
"Shall I continue with the stuff from before?"
"Yeah, just be weary."
"Sweet!"
I return to Jack and the gang, including Wanderlust, somehow. I didn't question it. But I should have.
Behind me, Wanderlust realizes that the notification was from Discoball itself and that Night Swan is within it. He sees the other Wanderlust and realizes that if he tries to save them, Night Swan would prematurely attack, potentially directly injuring Sara... or worse. Almost guarantied to end up failing. So he ends up retreating and I don't even notice.
After a bit more, I see the area's covered in a pink-ish fog. "Oh no. Wanderlust?"
"He already abandoned you. Or are you talking about that hologram?" Night Swan questions.
"Why you... time for round 2, I assume?"
"Ha! You don't have the help you need to take me down! Grab your phone."
Wanderlust returns, on his own.
“I think we need to recruit more artists as it seems like this time, Night Swan’s controlling the music. So if we can control it, we can take her out. But first, we need our old pals. And I think I know where one of them is.” Wanderlust exclaims.
“Wait, what about Sara?" I ask.
"Night Swan's got her."
"Why can't you save her?"
"Because if we do, the plan will crumble. Let’s go quickly.” Wanderlust says as he summons a portal to what seems like a mansion. We enter the portal.
