After partying all night, Sara returns home to cheers from her friends in the real world.
“Woah, I never seen you do those moves before! Or even any dance moves!” says one girl at the party.
“Yeah, I just never had a good enough reason to use them until now.” Sara responds as she’s sitting back down, ready to watch the others dance after a long battle.
The rest of the group go back and play Last Friday Night while Sara watches everyone else have fun before taking a nap. Then, a call on her phone wakes Sara up. Sara picks it up.
“Sara, you have to come back!” Wanderlust frantically shouts.
“What is it now?” Sara asks, half-asleep.
“Are your friends playing Last Friday Night’s routine?”
“Yeah, why?”
“Pay attention to the song and the routine. Dance even, but don’t actually play the game.”
“Fine… this better be good.”
Sara joins the others in the middle of the song, paying more attention to the coaches in the background. She notices a familiar face in the background. A coach that she knows all too well.
“Night Swan!” Sara screams in fear.
No one else notices the loud yell and keeps playing, opting to play Last Friday Night once again. However, this time, the song’s different. The instrumental is the same, but the vocals are completely different. She realizes that the vocals are from Anything I Do. No one seems to notice the change. Sara’s focus changes to the background as she sees Night Swan’s at the boombox. Then she sees a flash of purple come out of the TV, taking one of the dancers. No one else seems to see this and continue dancing. One by one, they all get taken in until there’s just Sara, a guy she never really talked to before, and a dog left at the party.
As we end playing Last Friday Night, I noticed that I got the top score. I celebrate getting the top score for the first time ever before looking and finding that everyone else is gone. All but one girl and my dog.
“Uh, where did everyone else go?” I ask the girl.
“Night Swan took them. You all were too busy dancing. I’m Sara, by the way.” Sara answers.
“I’m Michou. And you mean that everyone else got sucked into the game? Are you having a nightmare?” I responded.
“She’s not lying. And I need your help. Play for me Can’t Stop The Feeling and listen to the song for me.” Says a voice on the phone that Sara’s holding.
“Who are you? Are you trying to get us both kidnapped?” I ask not-so-quietly.
“You’ll see soon enough. Just play Can’t Stop The Feeling’s classic routine then If You Wanna Party. Pay attention to the videos and songs both times along with playing the routine well.” The phone instructs.
“Fine. But you better tell me who you are afterwards.” I concede.
“Now Sara, sit on the couch again while he plays.” The phone instructs.
“Okay. Just like last time.” Sara says as she obeys.
